Welcome to J. Woeste

Our mission at J. Woeste is simple: to make people smile. And our eclectic collection of treasures has something for everyone! We invite you to visit our indoor-outdoor shop in a 114-year old farmhouse in charming Los Olivos. Spend some time browsing in our whimsical garden, nursery and home store. 

Owner Jefferson Woeste inherited a green thumb on California's Central Coast, having had two grandfathers who were gardeners and farmers. After studying at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he fell in love with our little turn-of-the-century farmhouse here in the middle of wine country the minute he saw it. Since 1998, he's been delighting the Santa Ynez Valley with whimsical, clever and unique home and garden decor.

Every plant is hand-picked at the growers, and products are carefully selected by Jefferson for our collection of garden planters and yard art, succulents, home goods, zen pieces, wind chimes and hard-to-find treasures. Many items and houseplants make wonderful hostess gifts —ask about our beautiful boxed begonias! 

We're grateful to be part of such a lovely town and community. Come meet the family: Carlos, Sonia, Aldo, Chuck, Jefferson and of course our dogs, Lady & Lucy—the real ambassadors of the store.
